SHAYNA

Shayna had a home for a couple of years and then was hit buy a car and had severe damage to her back leg. Her owners decided it was too expensive to treat her leg and left her at the vet's office to be put down. That very sad day turned into a very lucky one for Shayna and the beginning of a new life. The staff at the vet office wanted to giver her a chance. The vet paid for the surgery which included pins in her leg and a custom made brace that Shayna had to endure wearing for many weeks. She arrived at the rescue with hopeful eyes, and dragging her brace that didnt allow her foot to touch the ground. After many weeks, we learned that her leg could be saved although she had a pronounced limp. After many more weeks of slow walks for excerside, Shayna's limp is barely noticable, especially when she is running! Shayna is about 4 years old and is very good on a leash and is always ready to go for a walk. She also loves going for car rides and is a quiet passanger. Shayna is currently attending weekly obiedience classes to polish her manners and be ready for her new home. If you are interested in adopting Shayna, please fill in our online adoption application.
